Brief Description :

  • The project of “Construction of Elevated Road in Thane City from Anand Nagar to Saket on Eastern Express Highway was approved in the 156th Authority Meeting held on 05/03/2024 amounting to Rs. 2188.62 crore.
  • Eastern Express Highway in Thane passes through important junctions as Teen hath Naka, Nitin Junction, Cadbury junction, golden dyes junction (Majiwada). There are 6 lanes flyover at Teen hath Naka junction, Cadbury flyover at Nitin and Cadbury junction, Golden dyes Flyover over Majiiwada junction. At Teen hath Naka there are two roads coming from Thane and road coming from LBS marg. Also, there service roads with to and Fro traffic and slip roads of flyovers. At Majiwada junction, prominent Ghodbunder road which carries traffic from Mumbai to Gujarat and Nashik to Gujarat. Major connectivity to Mumbai Ahmedabad Highway. Due to heavy to and fro traffic from Mumbai and addition of major traffic due to these junctions there are frequent traffic congestion on Eastern Express Highway in Thane.
  • To alleviate this, the Construction of Eastern Express Highway Anand Nagar to Saket has been conceptualized as a 8.24 km long elevated corridor.
  • M/s. J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. has been appointed as the contractor on dated 11/10/2024 and M/s. Nippon Koei India Pvt. Ltd JV Prabhavi, has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) on dated 18/12/2024 for the said project.
  • The project is being financed through Power Finance Corporation Ltd.

  • Work Completion Period: 48 months
  • Defects Liability Period (DLP): 24 months
  • Accepted Contract Amount: Rs. 1,847.72 Cr.

Present Status :

Utility diversion works and execution of working piles, casting of pile caps, piers & pier caps are currently in progress.
