Water Supply Resource Management Cell

1. Project Planning

• Evaluate water supply needs based on population growth & demand trends in regional area of MMR.
• Conduct technical, financial, environmental, and social assessments.
• Budget planning, funding arrangements, and resource mobilization.
• Develop preliminary and detailed designs in coordination with appointed consultants.

2. Project Implementation

• Secure necessary statutory permissions from concerned authorities.
• Issue bids, evaluate proposals, and award contracts following government procurement norms.
• Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and safety standards during project execution.

3. Project Construction

• Oversee construction activities to ensure quality control and adherence to timelines.
• Resolve on-site challenges related to engineering, materials, or logistics.
• Conduct regular site visits & testing to maintain construction standards.

4. Project Monitoring

• Use digital tools and periodic reporting to track project milestones and budget utilization.
• Identify risks such as delays, cost overruns, or technical failures and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain transparency through regular public disclosures and updates.

5. Operation & Maintenance (O&M)

• Ensure continuous and efficient operation of water supply systems.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance for infrastructure and equipment.
• Develop mechanisms for billing, metering, and cost recovery.
• Promote user awareness for water conservation.
• Implement measures to reduce water losses, promote recycling/reuse, and ensure long-term resource sustainability.
